Compound Steel Grating: Metal Grating Strut and Chequered Plate

Compound steel grating is a product made of steel grating with certain crossing style and checkered plate surface in different thicknesses. The grating type JG323/40/100, JG253/30/100 and JG323/60/100 are generally used as base support materials. The checkered steel plate galvanized or hot dipped with 3mm thickness is used as surface plate.

Checkered plate is used as surface tread plates with a thickness of 4mm, 5mm or 6mm according to customers’ requirements.

Compound steel grating will generate buckling deformation due to thermal stress after hot dip galvanizing, and larger steel grating has difficult levelling due to the fact the panels are two layers of metal sheets combined firmly together.

Compound steel grating is formed of any type of steel grating and checkered plate in different thicknesses. Compound steel grating are generally used as base & the checkered plate with 3 mm thickness is used as sealing plate. Sometimes checkered plate with thickness of 4 mm, 5 mm or 6 mm is also used as sealing plate according to customers' requirements.
